The 38th Cersaie, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings held in Bologna from 27 September to 1 October, fully lived up to the expectations of the exhibitor companies that had decided to invest in the show as an opportunity to meet their customers face-to-face once again and present their latest product innovations in person.
Cersaie 2021 was attended by a total of 62943 visitors. Despite the continued difficulties caused by the pandemic in international markets, particularly in terms of intercontinental travel, the show attracted 24019 international visitors (38% of the total), while the number of Italian attendees amounted to 38924. A total of 464 journalists were present, including 150 from outside Italy. Total attendance stood at 56% of the 2019 figure.
The fair was also an important and further opportunity to make known the research projects in progress:

• SUPERHERO – SUstainability and PERformances for HEROTILE energy efficient roofs
• eBIM – Modeling for the management of existing building
• MIMESIS – Smart, Sensored and Sustainable materials for historical buildings
• TIMESAFE – Integrated and innovative technologies with limited impact and invasiveness for seismic improvement of buildings without interruption of use
