A case study on the energy saving potential associated with cogeneration systems in the ceramic tile industry has been published in the ENEA magazine Energia, ambiente e innovazione. Since the 1970s, ceramic sector has introduced strategies and actions aimed at optimizing energy consumption, including the recovery of heat from drying ovens, the reduction of the consumption of thermal machines and the adoption of innovative technologies, last but not least cogeneration.
The article, written with the contribution of researchers from Centro Ceramico, offers a picture of the current situation, confirming once again that sustainability is one of the main objectives that the sector has always pursued.
