On Thursday, 24 September, during CERSAIE 2026, a seminar dedicated to AIM-eBIM was held at the Sala Cobalto, EX GAM, Piazza Costituzione 3, Bologna. AIM-eBIM is a project funded under the Emilia-Romagna PR-FESR 2021-2027, coordinated by TekneHub – University of Ferrara, with Centro Ceramico participating as one of the project partners. The project aims to improve the management of BIM information for existing buildings, with specific investigations also focusing on ceramic materials.
The seminar featured contributions by Prof. Federica Maietti, University of Ferrara, on parametric modelling and the adaptive management of digital data; Prof. Elisa Franzoni, Scientific Director of Centro Ceramico, together with Alberto Ferrara, research scholarship holder at CIDEA – University of Parma, on the use of open BIM processes for the analysis of materials’ reaction to fire; and Eng. Valerio Da Pos, on the digitalisation of the Declaration of Performance (DoP) for construction products. The event highlighted the growing role of digitalisation in the management and integration of information relating to buildings, materials and construction products.
