Microwave mineraliser
The sample preparation is the most delicate step of the whole process of chemical analysis. It requires longer time and is a major source of error on the final result.
The microwave mineralisation allows to accelerate the digestion and minimise sample handling. It also makes possible the optimisation of reactions, without losing the volatile elements. The instrument is particularly suitable for the mineralization of environmental samples – from water to sludges – and inorganic samples in general: silicates, slags, rocks, minerals, ashes, ceramic materials and refractories, quartz, glasses, frits and glazes.
Technical features of the instrument
The chemical laboratory is equipped with a microwave kiln Mod. ETHOS TC, Milestone (I), with the following setting:
- HPR 1000/10 technology (10 100 ml containers 100, 100 bar)
- automatic temperature control up to 300 °C
- dual power generator system with rotating diffuser, for a better homogeneity and distribution of microwaves
- installed capacity: 1600 W (two 800 W magnetron)
- microwaves emission frequency: 2450 MHz.
