In the framework of the RemTech event (Sept. 21-25, 2020), a webinar is organized, specifically dedicated to MImeSIS Project “Smart, Sensored and Sustainable materials for historical buildings”, of which Centro Ceramico is a partner. The event, which will be held on Sept. 25th, from 11:00 to 12:00, includes a presentation by Simone Bandini of CertiMaC, during which the challenges of the research project will be illustrated. It aims, particularly, to develop solutions for the intelligent envelope, that is, equipped with sensors for self-diagnosis, capable of to improve the performance of the existing buildings. The following topics will be discussed:

  • predictive diagnostics of deterioration
  • sensors and related measurement chain
  • “sensor based” prototypes and materials
  • tests and performance validation
  • energy efficiency and low environmental impact
  • integration and compatibility with historical buildings
  • opening of the experimental project sites

The MImeSIS Project is funded by the Emilia-Romagna Region under the POR FESR 2014-2020 and aims to improve the performance of the existing buildings through the development and use of smart eco-sustainable materials.
RemTech is the international event specialized in the protection and sustainable development of the territory, remediation of contaminated sites, coasts and ports, hydrogeological instability, climate change, seismic risk, urban regeneration and sustainable chemical industry.
The webinar is free, subject to registration on the RemTech Expo website. The link for participation is https://remtech.meeters.space/stands/stand-detail/MbCDX1PX4Lu8NeFsa6MR. Then choose “Events” and go to the MImeSIS web conference.
