Project Description
By the instruments available to the laboratory, it is possible to carry out investigations on the morphology and microstructure of the materials, in order to analyse grain shape and size, porosity, defects and the presence of inclusions. In addition, it is possible to perform mineralogical characterisations to identify the phases inside a material and determine their concentration.
The tests carried out are:
- study and analysis of the microstructure of materials by SEM and optical microscopy observations, as well as image processing using image analysis software
- mineralogical characterisation of materials.
