This instrument allows the determination of the modulus of rupture and breaking strength of ceramic tiles and slabs with thickness up to 7.5 cm, according to the Standards EN ISO 10545-4 and EN 1339.
The procedure involves the application of a force, with a preset increase of the load at the centre of the tile. The device is composed by a steel plate on which supporting cylindrical rods are placed. The central rod comes down causing an increase in the applied load, until failure of the sample.

• 3000 kg load chamber.
