Centro Ceramico provides assistance to Companies that market with its own brand through:

  • Verification of the manufacturing process at the supplier factory: analysis of the control plan, verification of evidences
  • Development and/or review of the documentation and technical specifications
  • Benchmarking through analysis and tests using standardised and not standardised methods
  • Analysis and tests on samples submitted by the supplier, to verify the specifications and technical sheets, using standardised and not standardised methods
  • Verification of the constancy of the batches, using standardised and not standardised methods.

All ceramic wares intended for food contact must fulfil the requirements of the Ministerial Decree (MD) of Apr. 4, 1985 completed and modified by MD of Feb. 1, 2007 regarding Pb and Cd release by acetic acid attack. Currently, the European Commission is considering a lowering of the limits, as well as an increase in the number of metals to be analysed.
So, the package includes:

  • Pb and Cd release according to MD of Apr. 4, 1985 completed and modified by MD of Feb. 1, 2007
  • Pb and Cd release according to ISO 6486-1:1999.
