Assistance for claims and controversies

Assistance to companies in case of controversies to their suppliers (of materials and third-party works)

As an independent and accredited Laboratory, Centro Ceramico verifies the compliance of finished products to effective Standards and any contractual specifications and/or technical sheets agreed upon.
In the case in which the problems on products (appearance of effects, defects and non-compliances) are ascribable to suppliers (raw materials and semi-finished products, such as: spray dried powders, glazes, manufacturing tools, etc.), or suppliers of third-party works (cutting, boring, polishing, surface treatments, etc.) tests and analyses can be planned, with the aim to understand identify the reasons of the claimed defects, with possible indication for their resolution (see Package 3 “Defects of traditional ceramics: diagnosis and solution”).

Assistance to companies in case of controversies by their customers (retailers and consumers)

The activity is developed through the following steps:

  • Assessment, identification, classification and significance of the effects complained
  • Analysis of the envisaged stresses as a function of the environment, as well as observation of the effects on the material subject of the controversy
  • Analysis of the design and implementation as a function of the required performance
  • Conformity assessment of the finished product to the design specifications and standardised (and not standardised) test methods, of the performance characteristics of the whole finished product and the individual elements (tiles and other layers)
  • Carrying out of inspections, with examinations and in situ measurements and tests.
